This piece is a beautiful, vintage mid-century Hollywood Regency style footed jewelry casket. This ornate piece features a classic hexagonal/octagonal shape with heavy, beveled glass panels framed by intricate, bright gold-tone stamped brass filigree metalwork. The standout feature of this particular box is its vibrant red velvet interior lining, which is in absolute pristine, perfect condition with no stains, fraying, or discoloration—a rare find for vanity pieces of this era! The box is 3.5 inches across (at the widest point) and 2.75 inches tall (including the ornamental feet). It is in wonderful vintage condition overall. Condition: Structurally sound with a smooth, functional hinge and bright, beautifully aged brass patina. Please note there are two light surface scratches on the top glass panel from normal age and handling (visible upon close inspection; see photos). The underside metal frame shows expected age-related tarnish and a couple of small spots of green verdigris/patina (see close-up photos). This is completely on the inside rim and remains hidden when the casket is closed.
