This is a Nocona, TX era (1930s) McChesney pattern number 24-1 bit listed in the Nocona Boot Company catalogs published in that time frame. This is one of the more sought-after McChesney bit patterns for collectors. I cannot verify that all the mountings are original. They may be, but I will be the first to admit I do not have the expertise to positively say. One leaf on the left shank is missing. Measurements of the shanks and port mouthpiece are shown in the pictures. Note that this particular pattern has loose rein rings whereas a majority of McChesney bits had fixed rein rings.
