The Effect: What The Audience Experiences
You introduce an "ordinary" transparent clipboard holding some sheets of white paper, along with a black marker. Because the board is entirely clear, allowing anyone to see straight through it, nobody suspects it is anything other than a standard office clipboard. You hand the board to a participating spectator.
The spectator takes the board and uses the marker to write a secret message, jot down a number, or make a drawing on the paper. Because they hold the board themselves, they feel completely in control of the situation. When they are finished writing, the spectator removes the paper from the board, folds it, and keeps it securely in their own possession.
Throughout this entire process, you never touch the paper, and you never even go near it after the spectator finishes their writing. You remain completely isolated from their secret information. Yet, despite these strict performance conditions, you are able to accurately duplicate their exact drawing or instantly reveal the specific message they wrote. The best part is that the peeks you get are "real time", meaning no pre-show work needed, you get your peek right under their nose, and you can use this impression device live on stage or parlor for any mentalism presentation you can dream of. THIS IS A WORKER!
Key Points:
- Uses no special powders, no liquids.
- Requires no n**l wr***rs for the revelation.
- The spectator removes and keeps their written paper.
- Excellent for stage design duplications (no pre-show work!)
- Because you can see straight through it, the prop seems impossible to be anything but an ordinary clipboard. Nobody suspects it.
You will learn the complete handling from the printed instructions written by John Born. This clear board measures approximately 9 by 12.5 inches, offering a substantial writing surface that looks perfectly natural in any corporate or stage environment. Originally released to the magic community around 2001, this practical tool was built specifically for the working mentalist looking to secure information cleanly and effectively without drawing any suspicion.
