Antique & Vintage PhotographsFlood Isla Maciel Argentina YPF Cadillac Car Inundación 1967 VTG Press PhotoIt shows a flooded street scene in Isla Maciel, Argentina, during an 'Inundación' (Flood) in 1967. A 1950s Cadillac with license plate '824-63' is partially submerged in the centre of the frame. To the left is a large truck with "PARA SERVICIO PUBLICO" written on its side.
In the background, a prominent circular sign for the Argentine state oil company, YPF, is visible on a utility pole. A water tower can be seen in the distance. A person stands in the floodwaters on the right side of the street, near other parked vehicles and storefronts.
The reverse has handwritten notes identifying the location as 'Isla MACIEL' and a name, 'Sargento Ponce'. A typed caption reads 'Inundación' (Flood), underlined in red. There are two date stamps: one for '28 SET 1967' within a box for the newspaper 'FOTO EL MUNDO', and another for '1 - OCT 1967', indicating this is a press photograph.
