This Emma Naha is a well known Hopi potter active since the 70's. This handmade pottery bowl is made in the traditional way of cooking and hand- forming and painted. it is fired outdoors using traditional methods. Emma is the widow of another well known potter Ray Naha, and she has three children that are also potters carrying the tradition into future generations. This is a collectible piece that showcases the artistry and craftsmanship of the Hopi. Signed by the artist, this bowl is approximately 5 1/2" x 4 1/2" in size and is a beautiful representation of traditional Hopi pottery. I purchased this at Hopi in the late 1980's- Early 90's.
