A genuine antique Dietz No. 2 D-Lite kerosene lantern made in New York, USA. The model number and name are clearly embossed on the font base, and the bottom rim reads 'DIETZ NY-USA.' The original clear glass globe is present and intact, embossed with 'DIETZ' and what appears to be a patent date. The globe retains its wire cage frame, which shows surface rust and some bending but remains structurally in place. The metal body is heavily patinated with rust and grime throughout, giving it strong aged character prized by collectors. The hinged bail handle and both side frames are intact. The top vent cap is present. Some minor denting is visible on the base and lower font area. No fuel is present. Approximate height is roughly 12 to 13 inches tall.
