Offered for sale is this unusual collection of antique seal stamps, dating mainly from the 19th century, Northern and Central Europe.

The collection includes many different examples with turned wooden, metal and light-coloured handles, together with several loose seal matrices.

The designs include ornate monograms, initials, floral decorations, inscriptions and heraldic imagery.

Several of the seals are particularly unusual and rarely seen.

All pieces show natural signs of age and use, including wear, scratches, discolouration, patina, oxidation and surface marks. One of the seals is double-ended, with a seal matrix at both the top and the bottom. One small metal seal has particularly heavy green oxidation. The seals have not been cleaned or polished.

Sold together as one complete collection, as a lot of 12. No pieces will be sold separately.
