Up for sale is an extraordinary, investment-grade turn-of-the-century cabinet card portrait photograph (circa 1900–1905) featuring spectacular, fully documented Baltic/Imperial Russian history on both the front and back.

The front of the heavy stock mount features a crystal-clear portrait of a dapper gentleman with a handlebar mustache gently resting his hand on his massive, muscular guard dog companion—highly characteristic of a classic early Great Dane or an early European working Doberman/Mastiff lineage. The lower right corner displays the original silver/white embossed lithographic signature: "E. Jacobowitsch, LIBAU."

The reverse side of the mount features a stunning, museum-quality Art Nouveau lithographed advertisement entirely printed in pre-revolutionary Russian Cyrillic script.
