During this booming tourism period, Native American silversmiths hand-hammered and hand-tooled miniature flatware out of coin or ingot silver to sell to travelers passing through the American Southwest via the Santa Fe Railroad.Design Features & Artistry:- Ornate Stamped Bowl:The interior of the bowl is heavily decorated with traditional hand-struck tool work, featuring a beautiful rosette/sunburst emblem at the top, flanking crescent moon shapes, and a centered geometric diamond matrix.
- Twisted Handle Stem:Features a highly rigid, classic tightly twisted style stem, designed historically to add strength and aesthetic charm to tourist-market flatware.
- Tooled Finial End:The flat, shield-shaped handle end is bordered with fine hand-stamped arches and decorative native iconography.
