German porcelain figural group of four putti emblematic of the Four Seasons, after the Johann Joachim Kaendler model, late 19th century. Winter sits cloaked on rockwork with a brazier, Autumn straddles a wine barrel with a pink lustre glass and ewer, Summer holds a wheat sheaf and embraces Spring, who wears an applied flower wreath. Hand painted polychrome enamels, applied floral and grape encrustation, tooled gilt Rococo shell and scroll base.

The base carries a freehand crossed swords mark in underglaze blue and an impressed press number 68.

Condition: Good for age with some wear (pictured) but still presents well overall. Chip on ewer and crack on leg held by the seated putto. Some loss on the leaf tips.
