Ellsworth CDV photograph. This CDV photograph was published by Gurney & Son out of New York City. Col. Ellsworth was the first Union soldier killed during the Civil War in 1861 for removing a confederate flag from the roof of the Marshall House Inn in Alexandria, Virginia. This photograph measures 4" x 2 1/2".CONDITION:Acceptable, antique condition. This CDV photograph does have some peeling in the top left corner. There are stains, scratches, and smudges throughout. There is some wear around the edges of the card.
