Up for sale is an antique 12oz hip flask retailed by Abercrombie & Fitch Co., New York, manufactured in England by the renowned Sheffield firm James Dixon & Sons, one of Britain’s most celebrated makers of Britannia metal hollowware. The flask features the classic curved hip profile, a secure screw-top lid with original cork lining, and is engraved with the monogram “D.E.F.” on the front face. The base is stamped “ABERCROMBIE & FITCH CO. / NEW YORK / MADE IN ENGLAND” with the James Dixon & Sons maker’s marks. The flask is accompanied by its original drawstring pouch.

Abercrombie & Fitch in its pre-1970s incarnation was an elite New York sporting goods and outfitter institution whose clientele included Theodore Roosevelt and Ernest Hemingway. Period A&F hollowware and accessories are actively collected.
