The product is an antique 1937 Underwood No. 11 Standard Typewriter, featuring a sleek steel construction and a portable design. - Basic service performed:
- Vacuum dust.
- Basic cleaning of the machine.
- Lubricate essential moving parts.
- Keys work and the segment has been flushed and keys and have been aligned. Due to it's age, there may be keys that do stick. If so, put a little denatured alcohol or lacquer thinner in the slot where the key hits the segment and press keys continuously until it’s free.
- Platen is still in nice good condition. However, there is a slight bend on the left side of the platern roller. It still turns and catches paper.
- Carriage moves nicely.
- Bell works.
- Using the shift is sluggish and tends to not fully lift/retract carriage as good as it should.
- Back space works intermittently.
- Carriage bar has been repaired using a very strong epoxy. It is sturdy and handles the heavy weight.
- Cosmetic Condition: Good Overall
- Some minor scratches consistent with its age and usage.
- What’s Included:
- Ribbon is ok. It prints light and may need to be changed soon.
