Antique ironstone "The Cascade Boiler" (Edwardian Era)An early 20thC century ceramic milk boiler, made in Germany of white ironstone pottery and decorated with a black underglaze belted trademark transfer for 'The Cascade Boiler' - Registered patent no. 1326 of 1907. A lovely piece of Edwardian kitchenalia in great condition, it would be placed in a pan whilst heating milk to prevent it from boiling over.
Measures-4 3/4" tallBase-4 1/2" diameterWhite glazed ironstone with black transfer print label*small chips on basePlaced inside a saucepan or pot when heating milk.Designed to rattle and release steam just before the milk reaches boiling point, preventing it from boiling over.Condition:
In very good condition with some signs of usage wear are present commensurate with its age, but overall it is in lovely condition.
