Original antique tintype photograph believed to date to approximately the 1870s–1880s.Excellent seated studio portrait of a young man dressed in a three-piece suit with a derby/bowler hat and visible pocket watch chain.He is posed in front of an elaborate painted outdoor backdrop featuring large trees and a landscape scene.A very sharp and detailed period portrait with excellent facial and clothing detail. The hat, watch chain and elaborate studio backdrop give this tintype especially nice Victorian-era character.Original photograph on metal.Antique condition with surface scratches, scuffs, spotting, edge wear and areas of image loss/deterioration, particularly around the perimeter. Corners of the metal plate are clipped. The central portrait remains remarkably clear and displays very well.Please review all photos carefully for condition.
