1979 Delco Remy "Reminder Pen Set" — Employee Recognition Award

Presented August 7, 1979 to Bill Conder, an engineer at Delco Remy in Anderson, Indiana. Complete, unused, with the original box.

Included:
• Walnut-finish base with heavy-duty spring paper clamp and brass pen socket
• Black and gold desk pen, marked MADE IN USA
• Engraved brass nameplate reading "Bill Conder"
• Brown leather wallet, gold-stamped with the Delco Remy emblem, holding an unused A–Z address book and memo pad
• Original printed "Reminder Pen Set" card
• Original box, hand-marked in ink "Bill Conder 125"

The base and wallet both carry Delco Remy's employee recognition emblem — a shield reading "Think Positive / TP / Think Pride."

Condition: Excellent throughout. Appears never used. Brass is bright, wood finish is clean, leather is supple with no cracking. Light storage wear only.

What I can and can't tell you: The pen carries no brand name, only "MADE IN USA." The brass socket has a small two-letter maker's mark over "JAPAN." I have not been able to identify the manufacturer — no maker's mark appears on the base, the wallet, or the card. The "125" on the box is unexplained; it may be a batch, order, or employee number. I make no claim that it indicates a limited edition.

Delco Remy operated in Anderson from 1896 to 1994 and employed roughly 18,000 people across its Anderson and Muncie plants in the early 1970s.
