Here is an authentic, vintage 1965 first edition printing of "Space and the International Cooperation Year — A National Challenge" (NASA Educational Publication EP-30). This rare softcover booklet was authored by Arnold W. Frutkin, the highly influential Assistant Administrator for International Affairs for the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA).Published during the height of the Cold War Space Race, this text outlines the geopolitical balancing act of global space competition with international tracking networks, early meteorological satellite programs, and global communications frameworks during the UN-designated International Cooperation Year of 1965. The cover features a gorgeous mid-century modern atomic-era graphic tracking ring. The inner pages are enhanced by historical comparison art, a Mercury Capsule diagram, and an official photographic portrait and biography of the author. This is a fantastic addition for collectors of Project Gemini/Apollo era documentation or government printing history. Related Items:
