1932 Vintage Press Photo by Associated Press. The series of photographs released by the Lindberghs was made at a time when the kidnapping was furthest from the minds of the two famous people, and when their 20-month-old son was exhibiting the first characteristics of his age. Already endowed with knowledge of the camera, the photographic interview unravels itself in childish continuity. At the top, Charles Augustus Jr. receives the camera first in curiosity, then he poses nicely, but then he discloses a bit of disdain for a further pose. Finally, his hand is raised in a note of finish, which terminates the interview.Bruno Richard Hauptmann was a German-American carpenter who was convicted of the abduction and murder of Charles Augustus Lindbergh Jr., the 20-month-old son of aviator Charles Lindbergh and his wife Anne Morrow Lindbergh. The Lindbergh kidnapping became known as the "crime of the century".THERE IS A CREASE MARKING ACROSS THE MIDDLE OF THE PHOTO.Photo is Dated: 1932.
