The man on the right is wearing two small lapel pins or badges on his jacket. The reverse is handwritten “Daddy and Uncle Austin at Sublime,” referring to Sublime, Texas, a small community in Lavaca County. The likely context is that the two men were from or associated with Sublime and had this novelty aviation portrait made while in San Antonio.
An interesting early aviation-era RPPC with strong Texas appeal and a great period novelty-photo format. Condition shows expected age and handling wear including toning, light staining, and edge/corner wear. Please see photos for exact condition.
