Original 1894 “Petit Calendar” published by The Cassino Art Co., with the cover marked “Copyright 1893 by The Cassino Art Co.”
This charming late-Victorian calendar is printed on heavy textured card stock and features delicate pastel-colored illustrations of children in seasonal scenes. The cover depicts a child on skis in a snowy landscape, while the interior illustrations include a child beneath an umbrella with a small dog, a girl carrying a basket, and other beautifully rendered period scenes.
The calendar is arranged with two months per illustrated leaf, covering the 1894 calendar year. Each page combines the small monthly calendars with a central full-color illustration.
The calendar remains bound at the top with its old decorative cord through two punched holes. The soft, muted coloring and textured paper give the illustrations an almost watercolor or colored-pencil appearance.

Title: Petit Calendar
Year: 1894

The Cassino Art Company produced illustrated calendars and other decorative publications during the late 19th century, and surviving multi-page calendars from the company are much less commonly encountered than individual calendar cards and advertising pieces.

There is wear around the binding holes consistent with age and handling. The cord binding remains present. Colors are soft and somewhat faded but the illustrations remain attractive and clearly visible. Please review all photographs carefully for exact condition.
A wonderful piece of 1890s Victorian ephemera with appeal to collectors of antique calendars, Cassino Art Co. publications, Victorian children’s illustration and late-19th-century decorative printing.
