P. Ordway & Co., Boston• Ladies’ Home Cook Book — 1896, compiled by Julia MacNair Wright, with Bills of Fare for All Seasons by Marion HarlandAlso included are handwritten recipe pages, loose cookbook pages, old newspaper or magazine clippings, recipe clippings, and other antique/vintage paper ephemera. Some material appears to date into the early 1900s, including a household-hints page dated 1911.The handwritten pages include various old family-style recipes for cakes, puddings, breads, meat dishes, and other cooking.Condition: Used antique condition with heavy age-related wear. Pages show significant toning, discoloration, stains, tears, edge loss, creases, brittle paper, and loose or detached sections.
