Published by Virtue & Yorston, New York, with an 1862 copyright.An illustrated history of the Civil War covering military campaigns and naval operations, with portraits, battle scenes, maps, and biographical sketches of leading statesmen and commanders.The volumes feature matching burgundy bindings with leather spines and corners, raised spine bands, and gilt lettering and eagle designs. Each measures approximately 9.5″ wide × 11″ tall × 2″ thick.Good overall condition, with rubbing to the covers and wear along the edges and corners. Bindings are intact, and pages show age toning and occasional spotting. No torn or missing pages were noted during inspection.Includes all three volumes pictured.
