Description:
This is an authentic German crossed-swords ribbon device, used on decorations such as the Honour Cross of the World War 1914–1918 (Hindenburg Cross) and the War Merit Cross (Kriegsverdienstkreuz). This small piece is only the swords attachment, not the medal itself.

Made of metal and measuring roughly ½ inch wide, these devices were affixed to the ribbon to indicate an award earned “with swords,” marking combatant service. Perfect for completing a missing piece on an original medal bar, restoring a period ribbon, or upgrading an incomplete display.
