The powder blue Mercedes-Benz 600 Saloon Limousine once owned by Elvis Presley was just sold by Bonhams Auction at Mercedes-Benz World in Surrey for £80,700 (approximately $127,575 USD). The King of Rock and Roll, who was known to have a penchant for both pink Cadillacs and Mercedes-Benz 600s, added the recently sold vehicle to his extensive car collection in the 1970s. It was among only a small handful of cars that Elvis had registered himself. The Elvis Presley fan club did not support the sale, insisting that the car was a national treasure that should not reside outside the USA. The car’s new owner is believed to be a German bidder. No word yet as to where the car will park or drive in the future.
