Offered for your consideration is a vintage B’nai B’rith Women promotional ballpoint pen, manufactured c.1960. The pen’s brand is not marked.

As you may know, B’nai B’rith Women was founded in 1909 as a charitable organization, though it did not officially adopt the BBW name until 1957. It was renamed Jewish Women’s International, or JWI, in 1995.

This B’nai B’rith Women pen is in clean, excellent condition. It measures 5¼” long x 7/16” at widest and features a gold-tone metal barrel, black plastic fore-end, brass-tone clip/cap jewel, and clear plastic upper section with tiny menorah suspended in fluid.

There are no dents or true scratches, just some very light marks from the years as pictured. Plus, the clip rests firmly against the barrel. Overall, it presents very the pen is currently not writing; the refill is dry or empty. Rotating the black writing end extends the point and turning in the opposite direction retracts it. I must mention that, even when retracted, a portion of the tip is still visible.

I'm not sure that ballpoint refills of this style are still available? But, it appears that the spring and upper cylindrical slug could be reattached to a modern shorty metal refill for a functional retrofit.
