Up for sale is a beautiful, authentic vintage 1920s–1930s 3D stand-up honeycomb Valentine's Day centerpiece card manufactured by the iconic Beistle Company.
This charming piece of holiday ephemera features an embossed die-cut heart backing with a sweet illustration of a young child in a Victorian-style sailor suit and wide straw hat. It features a miniature "Valentine Greeting" heart tag and two vibrant red expanding tissue paper honeycomb puffs (one heart-shaped puff at the center and a circular ring at the base).
Measurements:Height: Approximately 5.5 inches
Condition Notes:
Front Visuals: Excellent vintage condition. The lithograph colors remain incredibly bright and crisp.
Honeycomb: Both tissue paper honeycomb elements are fully intact, clean, and expand beautifully without missing sections or crushing.
Back: Features a lovely period-accurate handwritten pencil inscription reading "To Helen from Esther". The original diamond-shaped Beistle maker mark stamp is fully visible on the support flap.
Flaws: The cardboard fold-out easel flap on the back has a clean tear along the fold line. However, it remains fully functional and supports the card perfectly upright for display (see photos for details).
This is a wonderful, highly collectible piece of early American holiday decor perfect for any vintage Valentine collection or retro tabletop display!
