Vintage Saint-Amand France French Revolution Tea / Dessert Set – 14 Pieces

Charming vintage French faience set by Saint-Amand, decorated with assorted motifs, emblems and slogans relating to the French Revolution. The pieces intentionally feature different historical designs rather than one repeated central motif.

This is a mismatched/assembled 14-piece set, consisting of:

• 5 dessert plates
• 5 saucers
• 4 cups

The pieces have an ivory/cream ground with scalloped edges, red rim decoration and colorful floral accents. Central designs include various French Revolutionary symbols, crests and inscriptions, including “La Loi,” “La Patrie,” “La Paix,” “Constitution,” “Ça Ira,” and other period-inspired motifs.

Several pieces are marked Saint-Amand France on the underside; markings vary among the pieces, which is consistent with this being an assembled/mismatched set.A particularly attractive set for a collector of French faience, Saint-Amand pottery, French Revolutionary commemorative ware, or antique/vintage French tableware.
