Vintage Shimano DX PD-M636 Clipless Platform Bike Pedals Red 9/16 SPD MTB BMX:
$30.00
DescriptionUp for sale is a legendary pair of vintage Shimano DX PD-M636 dual-sided platform SPD pedals in their iconic factory red finish. Released in the late 1990s, these are the heavy-duty, bombproof pedals that essentially started the modern "trail/downhill platform" craze.
They feature a burly, oversized aluminum outer cage surrounding a classic dual-sided Shimano 2-bolt SPD mechanism. Perfect for period-correct retro MTB, early downhill, or vintage BMX builds, while still being entirely functional for aggressive modern trail riding. They provide an incredibly stable, supportive footprint when clipped in, and allow you to stay on the gas even if you have to unclip through a loose corner.
Condition
Mechanical: Good, fully functional condition. The dual-sided SPD binding mechanisms snap cleanly and the tension adjusters turn smoothly.
Cosmetic: Used with typical scuffs, scratches, and paint wear on the outer red aluminum cages from normal use (as pictured). No structural cracks or deep gouges that compromise PD-M636 (Shimano DX Series)
Color: Red cage / black body / silver bindings
Thread Size: Standard 9/16 inch
Cleat Compatibility: Standard Shimano 2-bolt SPD (SM-SH51 or SM-SH56)
Features: Adjustable entry and release tension, removable/replaceable black perimeter traction cages Related Items:
