Vintage Parker Vacumatic Debutante ~ Beautiful Blue ~ 14k Nib ~ Restored:
$165.00

Really beautiful restored Parker Vacumatic fountain pen. This is the debutante size at 4 5/8". I'm a huge fan of Parker's and vacs especially. And this blue is my favorite of the colors. Every restoration is its own journey so let's get into every little thing about this pen.

I dismantled and cleaned this pen. I inspected and tested this pen as well. The results of the inspection are as follows. It had a working sac when I got it. Someone had replaced it recently and it is still supple and flexible. Greased talced and working well. It would have been a waste of a sac to change it. That being said I will replace the sac at any time in the future free of charge if it breaks. Just contact me and send it over and I'll take care of it for ya. It's in good working order so I don't foresee any issue but I got ya if anything happens. I wrote the sample before I dismantled the pen so I didn't realize it wouldn't need a new one. But it came out so nice I didn't want to do it over. So please disregard where it says new sac installed. Another issue I found was that the cap top jewel is epoxied in. I couldn't remove it and take the clip off. No big deal as the clip is firm in place and works well. It can be moved side to side when some pressure is applied bc the person glued it in when it wasn't all the way tight. It doesn't rock or wiggle at all. But as a consequence of this I had to push the nib in a bit lower than I would have liked to avoid it being damaged by the epoxy at the top inside of the cap. But by pushing it down a bit I avoid that and the cap seats firmly and properly against the section. The nib has the matching 3 to the barrel and is original to the pen. There is a slight dent near the tines that seems not at all to affect the extremely smooth writing. Parker golden arrow nib. That's all for issues.

I cleaned and polished all parts of this pen. Reconditioned the barrel, cap, section, and feed. They are looking amazing. Same for buffing all the gold on the nib, blue diamond clip, and awesome intricate art deco capband. The celluloid is clean and clear. Breather is visible, clean and working great. Ink view windows look great. This pen looks and works awesome and I have gone through all there is to know. Thanks very much for looking. It's a great pen that's super fun to use.
