Beautiful vintage 5-light brass chandelier with an ornate Rococo/French-inspired design. This is a substantial, very heavy fixture, not the lightweight metal construction found on many reproduction chandeliers.The chandelier features elaborate scrolling brass arms and decorative detailing with an aged ivory/cream painted finish and gold/brass accents. It is adorned with numerous faceted glass teardrop prisms in multiple sizes and a large faceted glass ball pendant at the bottom.The glass pieces have not been tested or authenticated as lead crystal, so I am conservatively describing them as glass.Details:* Heavy brass construction* 5 candle-style lights
* Approximately 19–20” wide
* Ivory/cream painted finish with exposed gold/brass accents and aged patina
* Numerous faceted glass prisms
* Large faceted glass ball pendant
* Decorative brass-tone chain
* All 5 lights are working
* A couple of the smaller glass drops appear to be missing
* Vintage condition with expected age-related finish wear, patina, paint loss and discoloration
* Ceiling canopy/hardware may be a later replacementThe maker and exact country of origin are unknown. The design has a beautiful European Rococo/French-inspired appearance, but I am not attributing it to a particular maker or country without documentation. This piece is taken from an original 1983 home whose owner/builders were directly from Germany and had several antique European pieces.Please review photos carefully for condition and details.
