Beautiful vintage Miss Bellevue musical jewelry box, made in Meta di Sorrento, Italy.
This elegant box features a rich reddish-brown burl wood finish with dark contrasting trim and a fine gold-tone border around the lid. The curved sides, small turned feet, and lined interior give it a classic Italian decorative look.
The underside retains the original labels identifying it as:
Miss Bellevue
Made in Italy
Meta di Sorrento
The original tune label identifies the melody as “Torna a Surriento.”
Tested and working. The music mechanism winds and plays properly.
The interior is lined in a soft peach/tan suede-like material and includes divided storage areas for rings, jewelry, and small keepsakes.
