ITEM: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a vintage cerused wood table lamp. Circa '50s. Materials: Cerused Wood (Oak). Color: Black, Gray. The lamp body features a four-sided round cut-out shape at the center through which the vertical cylinder intersects from the base to the socket (see photos) - a cool, yet unusual, design element. The lamp features a standard on/off rotary knob switch at the socket for functionality. We are uncertain as to the designer / maker - there are no labels or tags visibly present. The lamp base is without a shade - it will be left up to the purchaser to provide their own. It's a wonderful lamp that is suitable for all interior settings.MEASUREMENTS: Approx. 27.45" tall (measured from the bottom of the base to the top of the finial) x 6" wide (base) x 5" deep (base). The distance from the bottom of the base to the light socket is approx. 21" high. The angular wooden base at the very bottom of the lamp measures approx. 6" wide x 5" deep. The sculptural wooden body of the lamp is approx. 15.5" tall.
CONDITION: Very good vintage condition. There is a little bit of paint loss on the base at the bottom of the lamp - it's very minor, but being mentioned. Aside from that, there are no chips, cracks, breaks, repairs, scratches, etc. The electrical wiring appears to be original to the lamp, and it is in good shape - there are no frays, splits, exposed or brittle areas. The lamp is in fully-functioning, working order. As is the case with all vintage lighting, we always suggest having a licensed professional inspect the wiring prior to long-term use.
