$65.00
Up for sale is a stunning, authentic mid-century modern metal sailboat sculpture handcrafted by renowned California artist Al Speert, widely known as "The Metal Man." This striking 16-inch tall brutalist art piece features beautifully curved torch-cut brass and copper sails accented by delicate wire rigging, all mounted atop a rugged, organic natural driftwood base. This specific sculpture is exceptionally rare because it retains its original paper hang tag, confirming its vintage heritage and providing the original artist care instructions. The metalwork and rigging are in excellent vintage condition with no major bends or warping. It makes an incredible statement piece for any coastal, maritime, or retro MCM home decor collection.
