Vintage Uncle Sam “I WANT YOU” coin bank, marked JAPAN on the bottom.
Wonderful patriotic Americana piece featuring Uncle Sam pointing forward in his classic red, white and blue attire. The front of the base reads “I WANT YOU,” and the coin slot is located in the top of his hat.
Measures approximately 7 inches tall.
The bank appears to be a molded plaster/chalkware-type composition with hand-painted details. Bottom retains the small JAPAN mark.
A fun display piece for a collection of vintage banks, Uncle Sam memorabilia, patriotic Americana, advertising-style collectibles, or vintage Japanese novelty items.
Vintage pre-owned condition with age-related paint loss, chips/nicks and surface wear, particularly around the hat/brim, edges and base. Please examine all photographs closely as they are an important part of the condition description.
No attempt has been made to repaint or restore the piece.
