Beautiful pair of vintage hand-painted tole metal floral pieces featuring scrolling gilt vines, dimensional flowers and painted green leaves. Based on research and comparison with similar period examples, these appear consistent with Italian/Florentine tolework, likely mid-20th century, although no maker’s mark or country-of-origin stamp has been found, so Italian origin cannot be confirmed.These appear to have originally been decorative components of larger floral wall sconces or lighting fixtures. Both show what appear to be clean breaks/separation at their original attachment points and are being sold exactly as found.FRAGMENTS / AS FOUNDWonderful untouched vintage character with aged gilding, paint loss, oxidation, rust and patina throughout. No restoration or repainting has been attempted.Approximate sizes: 13” × 8” and 9” × 10”.Beautiful for restoration, repurposing, architectural salvage, or displaying as decorative vintage metalwork.
