[ABOUT THE ARTIST: WHO WAS PIERO OTTINETTI?]
Piero Ottinetti was a world-renowned Italian graphic designer and fine artist. Born in the picturesque Piedmont region of Italy, his passion for visual arts led him to Rome, where he formalised his education at the prestigious Rinascita Institute and the historic Academy of St. Luca.
After establishing his early career in Europe (including notable mid-century logo designs in Milan), Ottinetti emigrated to the United States. He settled in the historic lakeside city of Waukegan, Illinois, just north of Chicago. Throughout his career, he seamlessly bridged the gap between European modernism and American industrial marketing, creating high-profile corporate identities, logos, and advertising materials for local manufacturing companies. His private estate, highly celebrated by regional art historians, stands as a testament to an extraordinary artist who spent his life creating a visual dialogue between two worlds. Related Items:
