Beautiful vintage Chinese personal name seal (chop) hand-carved from natural soapstone.

This unique collectible features a detailed guardian lion (Foo dog) carving on top with intricate openwork carving around the body. The lion rests above a hollow carved ball design, a traditional decorative motif often associated with protection and good fortune.

The base of the seal features a personalized carving for the name HUNTLEY, including Western lettering and Chinese characters.

This piece has wonderful natural stone variation with mottled greenish tones throughout. Residual red cinnabar paste remains in the carved base areas, adding to its vintage character and suggesting previous use.
