Old British military helmet liner that I picked up years ago and have had in my collection.I bought this in 2022 from another seller who described it as a possible World War II British helmet liner. Looking at the construction, it has the old crossed fiber support bands, black liner material, rubber buffers and original-looking hardware associated with British Mk II style helmet liners.I have not found a readable maker or date stamp, so I am selling it as an old British Mk II style liner and not guaranteeing an exact wartime date.This one is definitely used and shows its age. The liner material has cracking, tears and deterioration, there is exposed padding in places, and the fiber bands and hardware show age and wear. I have left it exactly as I found it and have not tried to clean, repair or restore anything.This would be a good piece for a British military helmet collector, WWII militaria collection, display, research, or restoration project.Please look closely at all of the pictures. They show the actual liner you will receive and are the best description of its condition.Sold as-is, exactly as pictured.
