Vintage Art Deco Sterling Silver Lipstick Case with Pop-Up Hinged Mirror;Sapphire-Style Blue Stone accents on Vermeil Slider:

• Design & Accents: Features a beautiful Vermeil (gold-washed) Fleur de Lis design slider (slide mechanism) accented with two faceted, square scissor-cut channel-set deep blue stones(a 1930s jewelry technique).
• Unique Mirror Design: The mirror is constructed from metal, framed, and cleverly hinged on the outside. When you pull up the lipstick case from the fleur de lis slider, the mirror automatically flips open. Note: The sterling frame features an open-sided channel design where the metal mirror sheet has been slipped directly into the frame. The mirror plate is firmly sealed flush within its original tracks i.e. it doesn't slide or rattle so it stays safely in place).
• Mirror Dimensions: Approx. dimensions including the frame are slightly less than 3/4" x 1 7/8".
• Engraving: The front of the case features a horizontal engine-turned line design with hinges on the right side. The other three sides feature a smooth, polished frame. The top & bottom also are smooth and curved.
• Dimensions & Weight: Measures approximately 2 3/8" x 3/4" square. Total weight is a substantial 64.4 grams (Top half with mirror: 33g / Bottom half: 31.4g).
• Era: Consistent with the Art Deco period, circa 1920s to 1930s. Inside features an unknown logo mark above "STERLING" (logo resembles an elongated, illegible "C").
• Mechanism: The slider pushes up to the top of the channel to extend the lipstick holder but doesn't stay up. No lipstick remains inside.
• Stone & Vermeil Disclaimer: The two blue accent stones and the vermeil have not been professionally appraised. The stones are sapphire-colored and consistent with 1930s jewelry techniques, but their precise authenticity, material, and quality are unknown and not .
