Vintage 1972 POND'S Dry Skin Cream (4) Aqua Metal Lids w/Orig Box NOS/Deadstock:
$45.00
Emptying out my dearly departed mother's room I just found a partially filled box of 4 unopened Pond's Dry Skin Cream 3.9oz milk glass jars with aluminum lids.Aligning the embossed numbers and stamp on the bottom with the manufacturer's shipping case box, they date precisely to 1972. This sits perfectly in that sweet spot after the corporate zip code was established but right before manufacturers abandoned the metal lids for plastic in the mid-1970s.The box originally held 6 jars (a half-dozen case) and 4 unopened full jars remain. I opened two of them strictly to show the contents for listing transparency. They are the pretty wide-shouldered milk glass jars that are so typical of mid-century Pond's creams.Scent is very strong and absolutely Pond's.Due to age use is not recommended but the jars are beautiful for display. Sold as collectibles.Features and Condition DetailsYear of Manufacture: 1972 (Confirmed by the corporate zip code and the vintage glass base tracking codes).Jars: 4 matching 3.9oz white milk glass jars in pristine condition with bright labels.Lids: Iconic seafoam/aqua turquoise metal slip-caps with crisp, dark blue branding text.Original Case Box: Included! Shows gorgeous vintage block-letter typography and light age-appropriate shelf wear, making it a stellar display piece.Content Status: Jars are vintage New Old Stock and still contain their original cream fill. Two jars were briefly unsealed strictly to inspect and verify the physical condition of the cream for listing transparency.Important Note: This set is being sold strictly as a historical vanity display artifact and collectible item. The cream contents are decades old and entirely expired—they are NOT intended or safe for modern cosmetic or skincare use.USPS GROUND ADVANTAGE DOMESTIC US SHIPPING ONLY.
