Lot of 3 Vintage Alaska Visitors Association Travel Brochures — "Discover Alaska," "Visit Juneau," "An Adventure in Hunting and Fishing"
Description:
set of three original mid-century Alaska tourism brochures, all tied to the Alaska Visitors Association's promotional campaigns encouraging travel to the territory/state:
"discover Alaska" — full-color cover brochure featuring a smiling young woman in a fur-trimmed parka holding a bouquet of wildflowers, plus a whimsical illustrated gold-panning prospector logo beside colorful hand-lettered "Alaska" cover art.
"ALASKA — An Adventure in Hunting and Fishing" — Alaska Visitors Association guide with a bold orange-and-navy graphic cover, featuring a Dall sheep ram and ewe illustration over a state silhouette, plus black-and-white period photos of a hunter with a brown bear and anglers with trophy fish.
"Visit Juneau, Capital of Alaska" — scenic brochure with a hand-drawn yellow mountain-and-map motif, a color photo of a glacier and lake overlook, and the tagline "scenic and recreational center of Alaska."
Condition: genuine age-appropriate wear consistent with mid-century paper ephemera — soft creasing along original fold lines, light edge wear and toning, no major tears. Vibrant, well-preserved color on all three covers. A great grouping for anyone collecting vintage American travel/tourism graphic design or Alaska-specific collectible ephemera / memorabilia.
