Up for sale is a rare, authentic piece of mid-century European animation ephemera: an original, unused 1940s kraft paper store bag from Spain featuring early unauthorized graphics of Mickey Mouse and Felix the Cat.This unique piece was produced for Coloniales Ferretería Paulino González, a vintage hardware and glassware store located in Navia (Asturias), Spain.☆Key Features & Details:
☆Charming Vintage Graphics: Features a beautifully preserved, dark blue ink print. On the right is a wonderfully expressive, toothy, "pie-eyed" style Mickey Mouse holding a small package. On the left, Felix the Cat peeks around the circular store logo.
☆Printer Mark: Look closely at the bottom edge of the circle graphic to see the original Spanish printer signature: "Imp. Nª. Vª. Villava" (Imprenta Nuestra Señora de Villava, Navarra).
Dimensions: Measures approximately 7.2 inches wide by 11.75 inches tall (approx. 18.3 cm x 30 cm).
☆Condition: Excellent Vintage Condition (New Old Stock).
This bag is uncirculated, flat, and completely unused. There are no tears, heavy creases, or commercial use wear. Because it is genuine vintage paper from the mid-20th century, expect natural, minor age toning, tiny fiber inclusions, and faint storage marks characteristic of authentic kraft paper from this era. The reverse side features a clean, original center glue seam and is completely blank.
☆Collector's Note:During the 1930s and 1940s, local print shops in Spain frequently incorporated popular American cartoon characters into small-business packaging and calendars. Because international copyright laws were rarely enforced for local village commerce at the time, print shops created their own charming, slightly "off-model" interpretations of these iconic characters.This makes a phenomenal, eye-catching addition to any Disneyana collection, early animation archive, or vintage advertising layout.
