This is a beautiful, authentic mid-century woven wood splint picnic basket crafted by the prominent American manufacturer Jerywil under their iconic "Wov-N-Wood" line.
Dating back to the late 1940s or 1950s, this nostalgic piece exudes classic rustic charm and makes a fantastic addition to any retro collection, autumn date night, or farmhouse home decor setup!
Authentic Branding: Features the original crisp, burnt-in "Wov-N-Wood by Jerywil" trademark stamp cleanly visible on the underside of the lid
Constructed with heavy, high-quality woven wood slats, dual swing bentwood handles, and a solid wood hinged lid

Good vintage condition with beautiful aged character!
The basket is structurally sturdy, and the wooden lid, hinges, and dual handles function properly. Please note there is one notable area near the upper rim where a couple of the woven wood splints have cracked and broken away, resulting in a small gap in the weave (see closeup photo).
The wooden lids, hinges, and dual handles are secure and function properly.
There is light surface wear, minor cosmetic scuffs, and expected aging to the wood/finish that only heightens its beautiful time-tested character.
The elastic silverware band is fully attached, though it has relaxed over the decades as is standard for these pieces.
