Original vintage photograph capturing a remarkable 1934 DeSoto Airflow automobile approaching a group of people and a bear on a forest mountain road.
The automobile in the background is identified as a 1934 DeSoto Airflow sedan. Its distinctive aerodynamic design, tall narrow grille, rounded front fenders, integrated headlights and streamlined body make the Airflow readily recognizable.
The photograph is especially interesting because it combines two collectible subjects in one image: an early streamlined American automobile and a wild bear encounter. Several people are positioned along the roadway while one person appears to be standing near the bear at the edge of the forest. The DeSoto Airflow can be clearly seen approaching in the background.
This is an excellent piece of 1930s automotive history, wildlife photography, Americana and roadside/travel photography.
