Victorian Antique Wood Deep Well Gesso Photo Picture Frame Carved Old

Horizontal orientation

Outer dimension measures approximately 11 3/4 inches long and 9 3/4 inches tall. It is approximately 1 3/4 inches deep.

Inner dimension from the backside opening measures approximately 4 1/4 inches tall and 6 1/4 inches long.

Front opening (reveal) measures approximately 3 5/8x 5 5/8 inches.

Frame includes clear glass.

Some flaws- including missing pieces, spots, dents and scars, cracking, and paint discoloration and loss.

Ornate surface appears to be hand painted black. It does not appear to be carved wood upon inspecting brakes on surface. Possible resin or gesso, but I cannot confirm. Some cracks detectable. There is a noticeable Light Green color on all top facing gold surfaces that does not appear to be original, yet it has clearly been there for a very long time. There are absolutely no detectable odors.

Paper backing has been torn.
