VTG 1950s SyrocoWood Patriotic Federal Eagle Wall Plaque mid century decor:
$160.00
Authentic mid-century modern patriotic American Federal Eagle wall plaque manufactured by the Syracuse Ornamental Company (Syroco). This is a highly collectible early piece made from genuine, dense compression-molded "SyrocoWood" (wood flour and resin compound), giving it a solid weight of just over 3 pounds unlike the lightweight plastic versions produced in later decades. It has a solid, heavy feel, much cleaner molded details, and an authentic wood grain texture that beautifully mimics a hand carved antique. It is built to last and retains its value far better than later plastic reissuesFeatures the rare, original black and silver "SyrocoWood" paper label fully intact on the reverse side, along with the faint molded "MADE IN USA" stamp. In excellent vintage condition. Both original factory-installed metal hanging loops are securely screwed into the back, making it structurally sound and ready to hang. The original multi-colored paint finish is intact, showcasing beautiful gold, red, and turquoise green tones with a wonderful vintage patina. Minor age-appropriate wear as expected with authentic mid century decor.Dimensions & Weight:• Width (Wingspan): Approx 29 inches
