This product is a vintage Western horse curb bit for a walking horse, with a long shank design and polished nickel finish. Handmade in England and proven to be non-rusting, this bit features a 5-inch mouth size, ideal for an average horse. With a strong Western Americana culture influence, this bit is a unique and collectible piece for any horse enthusiast or collector. The maker is marked, adding authenticity to this classic and durable piece of equestrian equipment.It is rare for an older bit to be found in NEW, Never been used condition. This was found at an Estate Liquidation in the original shopping bag from a tack shop that went out of business many years ago. Estimating this bit to be around 50 years old. This long shank horse bit is made from a highly polished nickel alloy metal. It is clear to me that someone took pride in the making of this bit. It is maker marked and stamped in several places. I have included photographs of these markings. I can read the words Made in England and Non Rust.
