Up for sale is an absolute crown jewel for high-grade British estate pipe collectors: an ultra-rare vintage Comoy's Blue Riband "Extraordinaire" in the iconic 309 Canadian shape.Dating to the highly coveted golden era of London pipe craftsmanship, the Blue Riband represents Comoy’s absolute highest tier of flawless briar selection. Paired with the rare "Extraordinaire" designation and the legendary long oval shank of the 309 shape, this is a museum-grade investment specimen.Features & Condition:- The Stem: Features the legendary, authentic three-piece inlaid white "C" logo beautifully intact on the original vulcanite mouthpiece.
- Stamping: Fully legible stamping reading "COMOY'S" over "BLUE RIBAND" on one side of the shank, and "EXTRAORDINAIRE" alongside the classic circular London COM stamp and shape number "309" on the reverse.
- The Briar: Exceptional, dense birdseye variations and rich tight grain structure highlighting why this specific block achieved Comoy's top-tier grade.
- Condition Notes: The pipe is in excellent structural estate condition. The briar body is structurally perfect with zero cracks. The vulcanite stem shows normal, typical light age-appropriate oxidation that will easily buff back to a mirror-black shine.
