Set of Six (6) Original 18th Century British and French Flintlock Musket FlintsThese flints were originally knapped (made) to military standards over 200 years ago in England, specifically in Suffolk County. A cache of themwas discovered in Nepal, having been sent there sometime in the 19th Century. The flints that are amber colored were knapped in France at roughlythe same time. Flints typically needed to be replaced after a few dozen firings, so soldiers made sure to have plenty at hand.
These still function perfectly well in antique and modern flintlocks. They also make great "hands-on" props for school classes and other educationalevents.
I will normally be picking these at random, but I can accommodate requests (All English. all French, etc.). They measure about 1" x 1 1/4".
