Up for sale is an exceptionally rare, authentic pre-WWI German porcelain figural grouping produced by the prestigious Porzellanfabrik Richard Eckert & Co. AG in Volkstedt, Thuringia, Germany.This gorgeous Edwardian-era antique depicts an elegant colonial courtship scene of a gallant gentleman and lady deeply focused on a match over a checkered tabletop board. The gentleman is attired in an ornate, cream-colored floral coat, while the lady is dressed in a lavender bodice and a beautifully decorated yellow floral skirt. Both figures feature finely molded porcelain skin, expressive hand-painted features, and sit atop meticulously detailed Rococo scroll chairs heavily accented in gold gilt.Approximate Dimensions:- Width: 6 1/4 inches (6 1/4" W)
